The 27 nakshatras, and the 108 padas inside them
The zodiac divided by 27 instead of 12 — each nakshatra 13°20' wide, each quartered into padas of 3°20'. Learn them in groups of nine by lord, because that sequence is the Vimshottari dasha order, and the lords stop looking arbitrary. Find yours.

The first impulse — speed, rescue, beginnings taken before permission arrives.
Strength. You start things. Recovery and repair come naturally, for yourself and for others.
Challenge. Starting is easy; the twentieth day of something is where you are tested.
Suits. Medicine, emergency work, transport, sport, anything where the first response decides the outcome.
The four padas

- 3Gemini navamsa. Pada 3 falls in Gemini navamsa, which colours the nakshatra with Gemini concerns — the same essence, pursued through a gemini method.
- 4Cancer navamsa. Pada 4 falls in Cancer navamsa, which colours the nakshatra with Cancer concerns — the same essence, pursued through a cancer method.
