About numerology
They answer slightly different questions. Chaldean assigns values 1 to 8 (never 9, which is treated as sacred) based on sound vibration, and is the older system used in most Indian practice. Pythagorean maps A to Z onto 1 to 9 sequentially and is the Western standard. For naming decisions in an Indian context, Chaldean is the conventional choice.
The one people actually call you by. A legal name you never use carries far less weight than the name that is spoken daily — that is the one with the vibration attached. If you are considering a spelling change, calculate both and compare.
Not on a calculator alone. A name number interacts with the chart — the same number supports one chart and strains another. If a name change is genuinely on the table, it is worth looking at the chart and the dasha sequence before committing to something that affects every document you own.
It shows which digits 1 to 9 appear in your date of birth and which are missing. Missing numbers point to faculties you build consciously rather than inherit; repeated numbers point to strengths that are also prone to overuse. Complete rows and columns form "planes" — mind, emotional, practical — and a complete plane is a reliable strength.
